The team at Intersect Antigua-Barbuda is incredibly enthused to announce the upcoming launch of yet another project — our 2024 Teach-In Series!
Since its inception, Intersect has provided free workshops and teach-ins on a range of topics related to gender justice, decolonisation, and queer libration.

Now, with the support of the Black Feminist Fund and The Equality Fund, we are elevating and expanding the scope of this work through the facilitation of several online teach-ins that centre Caribbean and transnational feminisms.
Informed by bell hooks’ pedagogical tenets in Teaching to Transgress, and Paulo Freire’s insights on a critical consciousness that eschews a banking model of education in Pedagogies of the Oppressed, we locate ourselves as co-creators of Caribbean feminist knowledge production with our storytellers.
