Content Warning: Domestic Violence

Some men stumble out of rum shops

Then wonder why their wives falling out of love

She wish she had walked out his life

after the first two cuff.

He swears he’s sorry with a rose

And her stomach drop to her toes

Because she can’t smell the flowers

With a broken nose.

When God made Adam and eve

even in a rage Adam never hit she

So I wonder why these men

think they must hit me?

Imagine being 13 still just a little sprat

But the men you grow up ‘round

Can’t seem to see that

Your uniform ready for school

Press nice and neat

But when you walking

You hear an extra pair of feet,

Whispers behind you

about how nice your skirt fit

Tell the Roadman them

keep their hands outta it.

When God made Adam and Eve

He was willing and so was she

So I wonder why some men want to

Force themselves on me?

You’ve been working for years

You deserve a raise

But your boss and coworkers,

it’s not your work they praise.

Hands on your thighs searching

Like they’re on a mission

But touching and unbuttoned blouses

Not in your job description.

When God made Adam and Eve

He was the leader

But they had equality,

So I wonder why some men

Want to take advantage of me?

When God made Adam and Eve

He was only loyal to she

So I wonder why some man

Rated E for everybody.

When God made Adam and Eve

There was peace and harmony

So I hope between men and women

We’ll have that in society.
