So, where are you from?

I was someone else

And what is your story?

I was something pure

But when is your beginning?

I was one drop too little too much

Yet how did you get here?

I was the boy who rode the wind

brisk, newfangled, unsettled

Then who will save you now?

I am the sea unending, rhythmic, fearless

I will save myself.

Linzey Corridon

Born and raised on the Caribbean island nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Linzey Corridon (he/they) currently resides in Ontario, Canada. He is a Vanier Canada Scholar, an educator, and a PhD researcher in the Department of English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University. An emerging queer Caribbean theorist and literary critic, his research centers queer Caribbean and diaspora quotidian experiences.
