Maybe this is the time to come clean. This is the salvation, the sign she had been beseeching the universe for the last four years. Or maybe this is a trap. To admit the abuse, would be to admit her weakness.

Gender-based violence (GBV) continues to be a terrible scourge that disproportionately affects women around the region. Efforts to eradicate GBV must center Trans women and other Queeribbean people. These stories swell with the rage of women across the Caribbean in the effort to amplify, eradicate, and heal.
